Chile's council of ministers has rejected approval for Andean Steel's $2.5 billion Dominga copper-iron ore project, Environment Minister Maisa Rojas announced Wednesday. The commission voted unanimously to reject the project after considering the impact on wildlife, water, air quality and Marine protected areas, Rojas said at a news conference at the Environment Ministry in San Diego. "The evaluation is taking into account multiple aspects that have to be evaluated, multiple reports that have to be considered," Rojas said. "It was a strong decision."
